II. International Women’s Congress, Como Italy, 9th and 11th of May, 2018
(With the collaboration of Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University and Italy eCampus University)
From past to the present, women have struggled with the difficulties in many fields. Currently, women’s roles in the society have changed and they started taking part in decision making mechanisms such as science, politics, economics and industry, in academic and business life.
In many national and international regulations, within the principle of equality between men and women, the position of women in social life has strengthened and active in the society.
The First International Women’s Congress was organized on 16th – 18th of November 2016 in Ankara. The II. International Women’s Congress is going to be organized between 9th and 11th of May 2018 with the collaboration of Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University and eCampus University (Universita Degli Studi eCampus). Academicians and experts from different countries will participate the Congress on law, medicine, engineering, literature, and economics.
Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University Rector Prof. Dr. Metin DOĞAN, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. M. Fatih UŞAN, eCampus University Rector Prof. Dr. Enzo SIVIERA will be in the honorary board of the Congress; where Prof. Dr. Seldağ GÜNEŞ PESCHKE from Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University and Prof. Paola TODINI from eCampus University are the chairs of the Congress.
Both Turkey and Italy have the similar characteristics of Mediterranean geography that family ties are really strong. For this reason, women in both countries encounter with similar problems. During II. International Women’s Congress, the women issues will be discussed by the participants encountered from all around the world. The experts will discuss the issues from the many different aspects and provide universal solutions to the problems of women.
The main theme of II. International Women’s Congress is “Immigration and Women Issues”. Immigration problem has recently been a contemporary problem both for Turkey and Italy. During the Congress, the similar problems will be encountered by both countries and solutions to these problems will be found.
Immigration has an influence not only on the countries, but it also effects the whole geography from political, financial, social and cultural aspects because of the globalization. Immigration has such a significant influence on the nations, and is a determinant of international relations. Because of the fact that Turkey is located on significant transition route, it is one of the countries on which immigration movement is focused.
Immigration phenomenon has quite influence on Italy as well as the countries which are from Mediterranean Sea. Both Turkey and Italy are struggling to find solutions to the problems of the immigrants. For this reason, organization of a congress under the theme of “Immigration and Women Issues” with the collaboration of Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University and eCampus University is important in point of solving the problems and finding possible solutions. In this scope, II. International Women’s Congress is going to have a great contribution to international community.
