* Fr. Gregory Ramon D. GASTON is a priest of the Archdiocese of Manila, and currently Rector of the Pontificio Collegio Filippino in Rome, a residence for priests doing further studies in the Ecclesiastical Sciences. Born in 1965 in Silay City, Negros Occidental, he did High School at the Philippine Science (1978-82), BS Zoology at UP Los Baños (1982-85), and the first two years of studies at the UP College of Medicine (with Batch 1990), which was where he discovered his vocation to the priesthood. He was sent to the University of Navarre in Spain for seminary formation (with Bachelor’s in Philosophy 1988-90 and then Bachelor’s in Theology 1990-93), to the St. Thomas University in Rome for further studies (with Licentiate 1993-95 and then Doctorate 1995-97 in Sacred Theology), and to the National Catholic Bioethics Center in Boston (with a short Post-Doctoral Fellowship on Bioethics summer of 1997). Ordained by St. John Paul II in 1993, he served in seminaries, parishes, media outfits and bioethics committees in Manila and abroad, and for five years at the Vatican (2002-07).
