El Congreso Mundial contra la Pena de Muerte es el principal evento abolicionista del mundo en términos de su alcance y ambición política. Reúne a políticos, activistas, abogados, investigadores, etc. que están involucrados en la causa de la abolición de la pena de muerte.
Se esperan 1.500 personas todos los días, incluidos 20 ministros y más de 200 representantes políticos de todo el mundo.
Las sesiones del 26 y 28 de febrero y el 1 de marzo se llevarán a cabo en el Palais d’Egmont en Rue aux Laines (Petit Sablon), mientras que la sesión del 27 de febrero se llevará a cabo en el hemiciclo del Parlamento Europeo (a partir de las 10 am).
La ceremonia de clausura se llevará a cabo en el Palais des Beaux Arts (Bozar) en la tarde del 1 de marzo.
Una marcha en las calles del centro de Bruselas concluirá el congreso el viernes 1 de marzo.
The World Congress Against the Death Penalty is the world’s leading abolitionist event in terms of its scope and political ambition. It brings together politicians, activists, lawyers, researchers, etc. who are involved in the cause of abolition of the death penalty.
