Today, of the nearly 1 billion people who live with some form of disability, nearly 80% live in developing countries. For young people, many of whom already face barriers to accessing basic services due to poverty, these challenges are compounded by disability because of stigma, discrimination, and inaccessibility. The webinar focuses on the topic of inclusion by exploring how to engage youth with disabilities in our programs and policies. We will learn about specific strategies and approaches to engaging young people from Leonard Cheshire Disability, a leading organization working with people with disabilities. We will also hear from a former YALI fellow who will share his experience engaging youth with disabilities in Rwanda.

Speakers:
Phil Hanks, International Partnerships Manager, Leonard Cheshire Disability
Bahati Satir Omar, YALI Fellow & EDC Rwanda
