Does the West still exist? This debate will have no hesitation in questioning our certainties in this respect. In recent decades, thanks in particular to economic recovery in the countries of Latin America and the foreign policy of the United States (such as restoring diplomatic relations with Cuba), the American continent has been effectively building this “nuestra America” of which its intellectuals were already speaking in the late 19th century. So can we still speak of a Western world?
