Iberoamericana – Revista Nórdica de Estudios de Latinoamérica y el Caribe, es una revista académica arbitrada, interdisciplinaria y bilingüe. Es administrada por el Instituto de Estudios Latinoamericanos de la Universidad de Estocolmo en colaboración con otras universidades nórdicas con el objetivo de presentar investigación de alta calidad sobre América Latina.
La revista publica artículos originales enfocados en temas relacionados con las ciencias sociales y humanidades. Investigadores de todo el mundo son bienvenidos a enviar sus manuscritos en inglés o español.
Iberoamericana Relaunch
Iberoamericana – Nordic Journal of Latin American and Caribbean Studies is going through a transformation, from the print media to the digital media. The Editorial Team is excited to make the journal content more available to a wider audience by improving the digital tagging of content and releasing the full text for anyone to read through an Open Access publishing model. The first editorial under this new scheme can be read for free here.
The new online platform will also help the Editorial Team to speed up the peer-review process of papers by improving correspondence tracking and digital editing. By publishing papers with a continuous plan (i.e. releasing articles as soon as they are accepted for publication and proof-read) we hope to serve the community with a more regular publishing schedule. From now on we will only accept papers submitted through the online platform. For those of you who would like to contribute to next year’s volume, see our updated instructions for authors here. The volumes digitalised so far date back to 2008. A further grant has been awarded to digitise and publish online the older content as well.
The Editorial Team has been expanded with two Deputy Editors; Benedicte Bull from Oslo University and Jussi Pakkasvirta from University of Helsinki. They will be involved in the process of evaluating manuscripts for publication to ensure that editors can avoid making decisions about contributions authored by close colleagues. The journal continues to be based at the Institute of Latin American Studies, at Stockholm University, but the ambition is to expand the involvement of Nordic partners.
On behalf of the entire Editorial Team, I hereby invite you to read and reuse the content of our journal to further knowledge about the Latin American and Caribbean regions. We hope that this new open and digital policy furthers the understanding of societal structures for the greater good of people.
